"This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who is eager to grow with my Client. You will help drive change and be prepared put yourself forward as opportunities arise." You are responsible for the smooth and efficient use of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across all departments of the business. This involves ensuring correct data is entered and that information can be easily interpreted. This may be done directly, or by supporting other teams in achieving it themselves. You will be heavily involved in the communication of data and analysis across the business, including report development, turning data into tangible business insights. You will additionally deal with external businesses, including account management of our couriers.
Responsibilities:- Act as the go-to person for ERP queries; These could be where to find information, how to create/change/delete items, how to apply settings to achieve desired outcomes by default, or anything else.
- Liaise with our ERP provider regarding any unknown queries.
- Account management of our three couriers (Royal Mail, FedEx, DPD): Work closely with Despatch and Customer Service ensuring that requirements are met, and Liaise directly with our account managers to ensure we are paying for the most appropriate levels of service.
- Ensure all departments requirements from the ERP system do not conflict by finding appropriate compromises where necessary.
- Coordinate ERP systems updates with our external IT support and with all internal users.
- Manage user groups and permissions so that the correct people have read and edit access to appropriate areas of ERP.
- Define and create robust reports by writing SQL. These should be defined based on the overall objectives of the other teams as well as your knowledge of available data - the question they ask will not necessarily generate the most useful answer.
- Manage these reports ensuring they are deleted where no longer required
- Help the Production Planner and Production Supervisor as required in ensuring the operations team work as smoothly as possible including adhoc pieces of work in Excel.
- Run, update, and improve the KPIs seen by the Leadership Team and Operations Managers. This requires using SQL, Excel, R, Google analytics and the ERP system.
- The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
